So, Mary finally gave up, gave in – whatever your favorite term is. She had the remaining members of the LLC sign what amounted to a loyalty oath which included agreeing to let Monica and I out of the LLC – accepting our tiny shares back into Mom’s portion and each signling promising to work toward the new OA. For over two years, Monica and I argued that any written agreement signed by us, was not necessary, not legally required. No indemnity, no guarantee of future cooperation was required on our part. During that time, we were forced to endure multiple email and text attacks, seek our own legal counsel, and wait on filing our taxes until Mary got around to sending us our tax forms. The acknowledgement of our leaving was back-dated to 2024, which is not quite proper either, but we will take it.

I don’t know if family relationships can ever return to anything resmbling normality. Every conversation with some siblings ALWAYS turns into some sort of political and pesonal attack, some contained outright threats. So, we will let some time pass. Perhaps the other side of the family will finally get its act together, finish the new Operating Agreement (also 2+ years in the making) and magically the new LLC OA will make everything somehow more peaceful.

Love you all, but can’t stand most of you.
